Two sharp axioms for writers, 1934

"Question—When an editor returns a manuscript and makes some comment which I know is in error, should I write and tell him so?

"Answer—There are two axioms which have proved profitable. They are: 1. Never argue with an editor. 2. The editor is always right." — Ed Bodin, in his newspaper column of advice to aspiring writers, 1934.

Edward Longstreet Bodin appears to have been a widely published magazine writer in his day, particularly for pulp thriller magazines. He was also a literary agent for, among others, L. Ron Hubbard.
